I just read this article on a recent study on fish oil/bipolar/schizophrenia

http://www.abc.net.au/worldtoday/content/2010/s2807793.htm

Thought someone may find it interesting

Cheers,

Thanks for finding that AT, I heard a snippit of it on the radio yesterday.
I must say though I am pretty disgusted by that ABC article, as I am when any article allows "so called" experts to comment on things just to get their names in the media, why didn't they interview or get the first hand information from the Swiss Doctors responsible?
Too many quacks here are ready to jump on the bandwagon for the larest "miracle cure" too willing to jump in front of the media not caring about the consequences to the people they may build up false hope in, and it is coming out in several severe illnesses where "so called" medical experts have fabricated the information they are peddling, and Australian Specialists have lapped it all up like good little puppies.
Sorry if that sounds negative, it was not my intention, we might have to look for a better article on it.

i've read a few articles about fish oil.  i think i even wrote one for the main site.
i THINK it assists in mood stabilisation because of the whole fatty acids/stuff in the brain working better thing.  i could be thinking of something else though.

personally i've tried it before - i'm undecided on it.

any other thoughts on this?
